Dear Friends,
We thank God for you! You are helping many needy children from hard places. Though this world does not understand the value of their lives, Jesus “took a child and put him by his side and said to them, ‘Whoever receives this child in my name receives me, and whoever receives me receives him who sent me.’ ” (from Luke 9:47-48)
Recently, the government brought us three little girls – two are sisters. Their parents are very poor drug addicts who used to bring their pre-school daughters with them to abandoned buildings where people gather to buy cheap drugs and get high. The girls testified that their parents would beat them when they went “loco” and these little ones have scars to prove it. At other times, their parents would just pass out and the girls would be there unattended.
Someone finally reported them and the state took the young girls away and brought them to the state-run baby home in Juárez City. Because of their addictions, the parents never did what was necessary to win back custody, so the girls became wards of the state. After more than a year of living in the state home, the oldest of the sisters was ready to enter first grade. The state home does not have schooling higher than kindergarten, so they were brought to us at Rancho 3M – a safe and caring Christian home & school.
One day the oldest girl was sitting in my son Jeremiah’s computer class when she burst into tears. He asked her several different scenarios of why she might be crying. Finally she blurted out, “I want my mommy!” Her response broke his heart; he felt helpless at her reply, and told her that here at the Ranch we are her new family.
Each child here has a different heart-breaking story. But we are so thankful that the Lord sent them to us, and that we are able to bring them the Good News of Jesus Christ! He came to heal the broken-hearted. God’s heart is toward these precious children and His ears are open to their prayers.
As we reach the end of this year, please prayerfully consider contributing a special year-end gift to this ministry, or becoming a much-needed monthly financial & prayer partner. The Lord Himself cares for the orphan (Psalm 68:5), and He delights to use us to accomplish this! We pray that the Lord will continue to bless you and your family for the kindness and generosity that you have shown us and continue to show! Thank you!
By His grace,
